Ingredients

Method

  1. Melt butter and honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted and combined, turn off the heat and allow to cool.
  2. Combine butter mixture with egg in a seperate bowl.
  3. Stir in sugar, both flours, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and bicarb soda.
  4. On a floured surface, knead until it becomes a fully combined dough that doesn't stick to your hands too much.
  5. Wrap the dough in cling wrap and place in the fridge for at least an hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 160oC (fan forced).
  7. Gently roll dough out on a floured surface until 5mm thick and cut out shapes. Place on a lined baking tray. Repeat until all dough has been used.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
