Chocolate Chip Cookies

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and bicarb soda.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and caster sugar. Add butter, beat.
  3. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, whisk.
  4. Add half of the flour mixture and stir together with a wooden spoon until combined. Add the rest of the flour mixture and gently combine.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Cover the dough in cling wrap and place in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  7. While the dough chills, preheat the oven to 170oC.
  8. Line a baking tray and roll the dough into golf ball size balls, making sure to leave plenty of space between them (I do 6 per tray).
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes and then it's time to feast.
